Drink beer, save wildlife
Friends of the National Zoo is giving away two general admission tickets to Brew at the Zoo 2012! To score these sweet tickets, we want you to put on your creative hats and celebrate what Brew at the Zoo is all about: wildlife and beer.
Here are the contest rules:
Create a wildlife or conservation-themed beer name for a special pale ale generously donated by Port City Brewing Company! Please incorporate animals we have here at the Smithsonian's National Zoo, otherwise we won't be able to consider your submission. Be sure to check out our National Zoo species list and photos on our Flickr page for inspiration! Winners will be judged by effective and creative use of National Zoo animals, wildlife, or conservation message.
Beginning June 25, tweet your inventive beer name at @FONZNationalZoo with the hashtag #BrewAtTheZoo. National Zoo keepers will choose the winning name! We will announce the winner on Twitter on July 2.
We'll be debuting the Port City Brewing Company beer along with its new name for the night at Brew at the Zoo. Guests will have the chance to sample the beer that evening.
The winner may claim their tickets the evening of the event at the will-call desk.
