The African American Family Celebration has been a Washington-area multicultural tradition for many years. Visitors enjoy a variety of special family activities, including an Easter egg roll and hunt, crafts, and entertainment ranging from children's dance troupes to costumed characters and storytellers. In addition, we offer an array of delicious food.

This year's live entertainment includes:

  • Ernie Fields, ventriloquist
  • Nanfoule, West African Stilt Walker
  • Okerema Asante, World of Percussions/Drums from West Africa
  • Smooth and Easy Hand Dance Team
  • Seaton Double Dutch Jump Rope Team
  • The Amazing Josini, magic show
  • Sound Proof, R&B band
  • Mutual Agreement, a cappella gospel
  • Paramount Men Gospel Choir, gospel ensemble
  • Namory Keita, woodcarver from West Africa
