Splish, splash, we're having a bash! Dive into an ocean of fun at Guppy Gala. Bring the whole gang for a night of tasty treats, silly songs, and fun.
This annual family-friendly event offers our many guests exciting animal encounters, yummy food, and a variety of spectacular activities are all free with the cost of your ticket.
A swimmingly fun time is waiting for you!

- A mock construction site
- Rock-climbing walls
- Obstacle courses
- Mazes
- Costumed characters
- Jugglers, gymnasts, and musicians
- Live entertainment
- Performances by The Yo-Yo Guy
Enjoy all this while raising funds to support animal care, conservation science, education and sustainability at the National Zoo.
UnitedHealthcare® Veterinary Center
New this year, be sure to visit the UnitedHealthcare® Veterinary Center! You'll meet National Zoo vets and Children's National Medical Center doctors and learn more about how human healthcare compares to wildlife care.
The vets will also be performing check-ups on stuffed animals, so kids should be sure to bring their plush lions, tigers, or teddy bears.

Tickets are required for everyone two years of age and older. Members may purchase up to six tickets at the member rate. See parking information below.
You can purchase tickets in several ways: on Ticketmaster's website, at any Ticketmaster outlet, at the Zoo's Visitor Center (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.), and by calling Ticketmaster at 202.397.SEAT. Tickets purchased at the Zoo's Visitor Center have no added fees. You can also buy tickets at Guppy Gala until they sell out.
Tickets are the same price for adults and children. Adults and children ages 2+ require tickets for admission; children under the age of 2 are free. Limit of six tickets at the member rate. Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-replaceable.
Please note: This event is not peanut-free. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that traces of nuts are not present in food products available at the event.
We have a limited number of parking passes and will distribute them as follows:
If you purchase one to five tickets in a single transaction, you may request one parking pass.
If you purchase six or more tickets in a single transaction, you may request two parking passes.

We encourage everyone to take public transportation to the Zoo. Street parking in the area around the Zoo is very limited.
