Set yourself free & enjoy a free concert!

Sunset Serenades
Thursdays, June 26–August 7, 2008

Every summer, people flock to the Zoo's Lion/Tiger Hill for our free summer concerts. Musical performances range from jazz and folk to blues and rock and roll. Details about our 2008 concerts will be posted later this year. We encourage visitors to bring a picnic or purchase snacks at the Mane Restaurant.

Take Metro!

We encourage everyone to take public transportation to the Zoo. Long-term road construction projects north of the Zoo (Klingle Bridge on Connecticut Avenue) and on Rock Creek Parkway are contributing to frequent traffic delays. In addition, parking at the Zoo fills quickly.

Take Metrorail to the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan station or Metrobus routes L1, L2, or L4 (use the Connecticut Avenue entrance), or route H4 (use the Harvard Street entrance).
