This answer varies depending on the time of your seating.
4:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. seating—please arrive no earlier than 4:00 p.m. You will have the opportunity to get your drink, eat some of the light snacks, and participate in the activity prior to or after your seating.
8:30 p.m. seating—please arrive at least a half hour prior to your seating so you will have time to get your drink, eat some light snacks, and participate in the activity prior to your seating. The activity and food will end at approximately 8:30 p.m.
All guests should go the front entrance of the Visitor Center. Registration will be directly at the front door. This event is for ages 21 and over, so please be sure to have your ID ready.
There is an additional fee for parking. If you are interested in a parking pass you may purchase it when ordering your event tickets.
Guests driving to this event should park in Lot A. To walk to the Visitor Center please cross the road you drove in on and follow the walkway up to the right. The first building on your right will be the Visitor Center. Please follow the pathway around to the front of the building.
Metro is a great way to come to the Zoo. The National Zoo is located between the Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams Morgan and Cleveland Park stops.
No, the rest of the Zoo will be closed during this event.
There will be an animal demonstration prior to the start of the lecture. One animal will be featured during this five minute talk. Please remember the welfare of the animal is our priority, so animal demonstrations may be canceled if it is in the best interest of the animal.
Complimentary light snacks will be offered.
The price of your ticket includes one drink. Any additional drinks may be purchased at a cash bar. Available drinks will include a specialty drink, wine, beer, soda, and water.
Yes, guests will be able to decorate a sweet for their sweetie. The activity will be available between 4:00 p.m. and 8:30 pm.
