Take the evening to the next level by being our special guest in the Whole Foods Market VIP Lounge and enjoy these great benefits:
Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or low-seated lawn/beach chairs for seating. Beer from New Belgium Brewing will be available for purchase. Food, non-alcoholic beverages, and wine will also be available. To be served alcohol, you must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid photo ID. Outside food, beverages, and coolers will not be permitted. Please note that smoking is not permitted at the Zoo.
Due to construction, the Zoo's North Road is narrowed to a single lane of traffic through the Zoo. We encourage you to use public transportation. Take the Red Line to the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan stop or the Cleveland Park stop. The Zoo entrance lies halfway between these stops, and both are a short walk from the Zoo.
Parking will be available for pre-pay at the event site. Please enter through the Connecticut Avenue entrance and enter the bus lot (behind Panda Plaza) to pre-pay for parking before the event. We expect this event to sell out. Parking will be available on a first come, first served basis. We cannot guarantee parking. Parking will be $10 for members, $15 non-members.
What better way to celebrate the end of the summer than riding up to the National Zoo for a concert? We're excited to offer bike parking courtesy of New Belgium Brewing at this year's Rock-N-Roar! Riders please park your wheels at the Picnic Pavilion, located by the Mane Grill, where volunteers will direct you as to where to leave your ride. And remember BYOB(L) – bring your own bike lock!
There are concerts - then there are concert experiences. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to see an acoustic performance by Marc Roberge and Richard On of O.A.R. Surrounded by the lush beauty of the National Zoo, on the expansive Lion/Tiger Hill, this is going to be one unforgettable night.
O.A.R has released seven studio albums and five live CDs. To date, they've sold close to 2 million albums and over 2 million concert tickets, including three sold-out shows at New York City's Madison Square Garden. In 2011, the band released their most recent studio album, King, which debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200 chart and #3 on the Billboard Digital Album Chart, and was #3 at iTunes on the day of the release. King was the follow-up to the band's 2008 release, All Sides, which contains the Platinum hit radio single "Shattered."
Taylor Carson's fifth studio album in 8 years, With Innocence, captures the sense of wonder and hope we all knew as children. It is infused with the optimism of dreams into everyday challenges and finds, with insightful observation about the good in the world around us. This summer soundtrack cleans the muddied lens and inspires the hibernating to awake and greet a new day. With Innocence debuted at #6 on the iTunes album charts and is the work that Taylor is most proud of to date.
Companies interested in sponsoring the event will receive valuable benefits ranging from logo ID on event and advertising materials to onsite signage, sampling opportunities, and complimentary tickets. For more information, email Jackie Vinick.
