In mid-March we did some tree maintenance and put the dead wood to use. Pieces were cut up and left in the yards for enrichment. Tai Shan used a small piece of a log given to him like a balance beam, walking along its length in perfect balance as the limb rocked under his weight. Long gone are the days he was content to pass the time lying in the grass or in his tub.
