Caracal

Caracal is a Turkish word meaning "black-eared." Their long, slender ears are topped by tufts of black fur.

Caracals are found in most regions of northern Africa, the Arabian peninsula, and southwestern Asia.

These nocturnal small cats are not currently on exhibit at the Zoo.
