Sinaloan milksnake

By MSA 2005 Map showing coastal lowlands, arid tropical scrub habitats in western Mexico

Class Reptilia
Order: Squamata
Family: Colubridae
Genus and species: Lampropeltis triangulum sinaloae
The banded color pattern of this harmless snake looks a lot like that of the venomous coral snake. The close resemblance probably warns away would-be predators that mistake the milksnake for the venomous snake.
