Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil

Habitat
Tropical forest, thick brush

Diet
Acouchis are herbivores. They eat grass, roots, tender stems, leaves, and fruit.

Reproduction
One to four young are born after a gestation of about 99 days.

Social Structure
Acouchis live alone or in small groups.
