Smithsonian Environmental Leadership Course

instructorThe two-week Environmental Leadership Course teaches effective communication skills, giving tools needed to advance conservation goals. It will enhance organizational effectiveness and increase creativity in approaching challenging situations.

Participants

This course is designed for resource managers, ecologists, biologists, environmental educators, graduate students, consultants and others interested in enhancing their leadership and communication skills. This is an international course with English as the written and spoken language.

Instructors

Three or four highly trained course instructors and a number of assistants are used for this course.

Investment

This two-week course costs US $2,750, which includes tuition, course materials, lodging and meals, and local transportation. Health insurance and travel to and from the course location are not included.

Participants gain hands-on experience by learning through examples, demonstrations, readings, speakers, videos, and personal and group exercises
