Education at the National Zoo

The Smithsonian’s National Zoological Park is currently experiencing financial constraints along with other Smithsonian museums and federal agencies. We are working hard to balance our priorities with an ever shrinking budget. Our top priorities include the health and welfare of our animals, the safety of our staff and visitors, and our commitment to science and conservation. As such, we’ve had to limit some of the educational resources provided to schools and the community.
