National Zoo Extends Viewing Hours for Tiger Cubs
Beginning today, visitors to the Smithsonian's National Zoo have two more hours each morning to see the Sumatran tiger cubs in their outdoor yard on Lion/Tiger Hill.
The three male cubs are now in their outdoor yard from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. daily. Previously, they were in the yard from 7:30 to 10 a.m. The hours were extended because the tiger cubs are more acclimated to their outdoor exhibit and more active.
The male cubs were born May 2, 2004; they have delighted National Zoo visitors since their public debut on August 12.
