Tufted Deer
Elaphodus cephalophus
Physical description
Smaller than white-tailed deer, tufted deer are brown with white underparts and a gray head and neck. Their antlers are so small they may be obscured by the tufted hair on the forehead.

Central, eastern, and southern China, and northern Myanmar
Habitat
Mountainous forest, near water
Diet
Grasses, other vegetation
Reproduction
After a gestation period of about six months, one or two young are born.
Social Structure
Ttufted deer are usually solitary but may travel in pairs.
