Producing a land cover change layer from Landsat satellite images.

1:30-5:30 p.m. Landscape Analyses at Regional Scales
Determining landscape characteristics using Fragstats and ArcView extensions in relation to specific species.

8-12 a.m. Regional Conservation Assessment (Part 1) Where have all the wildlands gone? Thinking analytically with GIS.
1:30-5:30 p.m. Regional Conservation Assessment (Part 2) GIS analysis for Asian elephant conservation assessment.
   
Thursday  
8-12 a.m. Habitat Selection in Dynamic Ecosystems (Part 1) Using MODIS NDVI satellite imagery to analyze Mongolian gazelle habitat preference in the Eastern Steppes.
1:30-5:30 p.m. Habitat Selection in Dynamic Ecosystems (Part 2) Using R ecological software with ArcGIS to model and predict Mongolian gazelle habitat preference.

Climate Change Modeling
Using Worldclim data and Maxent and ArcGIS software to predict effects of climate change on future habitat availability for giant pandas.
