Devra Kleiman, a research associate at the National Zoo and formerly head of the Zoo's Department of Zoological Research, and Anthony Rylands, of Conservation International, have just completed editing this latest volume about the lion tamarins of Brazil. Chapters include summaries of the status, biology, research, and conservation of each of the four lion tamarins, descriptions of the reintroduction program for GLTs, conservation education initiatives, and a history of the captive populations.
