Reptile Discovery Center
We are not accepting applications for this program at this time.
Reptile Discovery Center interpreters share information with visitors about the extraordinary world of reptiles and amphibians through conversational interactions. Feeding demonstrations with a variety of species feature information on adaptations and behaviors. Salamanders and frogs, crocodiles and turtles, lizards and snakes all offer fertile starting points for discussions on a wide variety of ecology and animal adaptations. Conservation is an important theme in this exhibit. Helping Zoo visitors explore and begin to overcome their fears and "ooh, gross" reactions to these species is a rewarding part of a volunteer’s experience.
