Keeper Aide

The Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute's volunteer keeper aides assist keepers in their daily activities, including the care and feeding of animals. 

Special qualifications: Good health, stamina, and the ability to work outside in all weather. Rabies vaccinations, TB test, and tetanus shot required.

Time commitment: One shift a week for a year. 

Age requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to apply.
