Marketing Internship

The Friends of the National Zoo (FONZ) Marketing Office at the Smithsonian's National Zoo is seeking an intern to support projects and sponsorships pertaining to event promotion support and fundraising.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting staff with special projects and programmatic work

Desired Qualifications and Abilities

• College student or recent graduate with a background in marketing or fundraising
• Strong desire to work at the Zoo on exciting programs.
• Reliable and able to meet needed availability requirements
• Outgoing personality and motivation to seek new learning opportunities

Stipend

This is an unpaid position and no stipend is offered. FONZ does not pay for transportation to the National Zoo.

This internship provides valuable program planning experience and will add value to resume. Letters of recommendation will gladly be provided as intern progresses into his or her professional career.

FONZ is willing to work with an intern's school to obtain credit hours for internship, but it is the intern's responsibility to verify availability through their school.
