To the U.S. Capitol from the National Zoo
Turn left onto Connecticut Avenue.
Continue on Connecticut Avenue to 17th Street (Connecticut Ave turns into 17th St.).
Turn right onto Independence Avenue (West): immediately go left at the next intersection (a horseshoe turn) to Independence Ave (East).
Continue on Independence Avenue east approximately one mile.
The Capitol will be on your left.
The U.S. Capitol is located on Capitol Hill between Constitution
and Independence Avenues.
