Turn left onto Connecticut Avenue.
Continue on Connecticut Avenue to 17th Street (Connecticut Avenue turns into 17th Street).
Continue on 17th Street.
Turn left onto Constitution Avenue.
Turn right onto 15th Street.
Turn left onto Jefferson Drive.
The Mall starts at 15th Street and Jefferson Drive.
At 15th Street, there is the Washington Monument, on your left on Jefferson Drive traveling east bound, there are the National Museum of American History, the National Museum of Natural History and the National Gallery of Art. On your right on Jefferson Drive traveling east, there aer the Freer and Sackler Galleries of Asian art, the National Museum of African Art, the Smithsonian Institution Building (often called "the Castle"), the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and the Air and Space Museum.
