Early Closings
On occasion, the National Zoo closes early host special events. In 2012, the Zoo will close early on these dates. Other dates and additional details will be posted when they are available.
- May 17: ZooFari
- July 12: Brew at the Zoo
- September 20: Grapes With the Apes
- October 26, 27, and 28: Boo at the Zoo

At 12 p.m. the following exhibits close:
- Small Mammal House
- Great Apes
- Reptile Discovery Center
- Invertebrates
- Think Tank
- Lemur Island
- Great Cats
- Prairie Playland
- Kids’ Farm
- Amazonia
- Great Cat Shop
- Mane Grill Café
At 2 p.m. the Clint Fields Conservation Plaza closes including:
- The Giant Panda Habitat
- Lower Panda Overlook area
Last entry into Zoo is 3 p.m. At 4 p.m. the entire Zoo closes.
