5:30-8:30 PM

Boo at the Zoo is Washington DC's favorite Halloween treat. With nearly 40 not-so-spooky treat stations, animal demonstrations, keeper chats, and decorated trails, this event is frightfully fun for the whole family. With traditional chocolates, as well as good for you snacks, souvenirs, and other items, thousands of Boo treat bags will be brimming with goodies at the end of the evening. Treats

Mars, Incorporated is a major sponsor of Boo at the Zoo and will provide Snickers, Milky Way, M&Ms, Starburst, Skiddles and more goodies. Whole Foods Market® will provide delicious apples. Other treats include Newman’s Own popcorn, Beanitos chips, Cabot Creamery cheese, Charles Products glow lollipops, Goetze’s Cow Tales, Herr Foods chips, Snyder's-Lance pretzels, Utz pretzels, and KIND snack bars.

Parking and Transportation

DRIVING? Only the Connecticut Avenue gates will be open for vehicles. Due to the construction taking place on North Road, traffic will be flowing one-way, DOWNHILL only, until 7:30pm. Parking lots will be systematically filled, so you may not be able to park in the lot of your choice. After 7:30pm traffic will reverse in direction. We will be directing all vehicles parked in A, B and C Lots out the Connecticut Avenue exit. All vehicles in Lots D & E must exit via Harvard Street or Beach Drive. We appreciate your support as we work to provide you with a seamless parking experience.

WALKING? Two pedestrian entrances will be open. Those entrances are at Connecticut Ave at the top of the Zoo and at Harvard Street Bridge at the bottom of the Zoo.

TAKING METRO? You can catch a ride from the Woodley Park/Zoo Metro Station (red line) courtesy of the Zoo shuttle and on Saturday night a double decker bus shuttle provided by Big Bus Tours. The shuttle will run continual loops throughout the night from the metro to the Bus Lot.
