Emphasis is placed on small-population biology and genetic diversity. Through an interactive activity, students are introduced to the study of conservation genetics and population bottlenecks. Students will discover how the loss of genetic diversity can affect a population's ability to respond to changes in its environment

We have a 'per program' fee structure: $50 for local counties [Clarke, Fauquier, Frederick, Loudoun, Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, Warren, Winchester (City of)], $100 for non-local. There is also an extra surcharge of $25, per program, for non-school outreach program requests.
