National Zoo Pumpkin Stomp, Nov. 5

Kandula with a pumpkin!
Last year's pumpkin stomp was a real treat for both visitors and elephants!

WHAT
Elephant Pumpkin Stomp. A truckload of pumpkins will be delivered to the elephants at the Smithsonian's National Zoo, providing the 5-ton animals great fun with the seasonal treats. Keepers predict that the elephants will sniff, kick, squash and eat many of the donated pumpkins. The gorillas and the orangutans will also receive pumpkins. Everyone is invited to be on hand to watch the fun.

WHEN
Wednesday, Nov. 5, 10:00 a.m.

WHERE
The National Zoo's Elephant House, 3001 Connecticut Ave., N.W. (Paid parking is available in National Zoo lot "B" in front of the Elephant House.) The pumpkin stomp will take place at the outdoor elephant exhibit, which is on the opposite side of the Elephant House from parking lot "B."
