National Zoo Elephant Pumpkin Stomp,
Nov. 14

WHAT
Elephant Pumpkin Stomp. Have you ever seen an elephant smash a pumpkin? Well, that's what is happening at the National Zoo this month. National Zoo elephant keepers frequently provide their animals with novel foods and special activities as part of an ongoing enrichment program.

The elephants will have a great time as they squash and eat many of the donated pumpkins. The gorillas and the orangutans will be joining in on the feast also. Everyone is invited to watch the fun.

Thursday, Nov. 14, 10:30 a.m. - press preview
