DCPS Kindergarten Program Registration
This spring, the Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute invites DCPS kindergarten classes to participate in a virtual field trip exploring the Amazon rainforest. Move through the rainforest and engage your senses as you discover the plants and animals living in this unique habitat. Programs are offered every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
If you are not a DCPS teacher and are looking to book a program, please return to the school programs page.
How to Register
This program is free, but registration is required. To register, click "Sign Up" next to your desired program date. You will be contacted to confirm your program and to follow up on logistics. Dates marked "Event is Full" have already been booked.
After registering, please e-sign and return the virtual program consent form to nzp-education@si.edu. We only need one copy of the form from the teacher registering and do not need copies from every student participating.
Please only sign up for one date so we can offer this program to all DCPS kindergarten students. A single teacher should register on behalf of all kindergarten students in their school, with up to three classes joining in one program (assembly-style). If your school has more than three classes, please register for a second program or contact us.
