Attend the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute's annual festival — the one day a year that part of this unique research facility is open to the public!
This school outreach program provides the opportunity for middle and high school students in Virginia to conduct research on mammals using camera trap technology.
Journey with Smithsonian scientists and other conservation professionals as they travel the globe to study and protect species and ecosystems. Share in their adventures during these free science lecture series. The series is free and open to the public.
SCBI's school programs are available in select counties in Virginia and are designed to educate students about science, conservation and environmental issues.
The Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation offers residential, hands-on, interdisciplinary programs in conservation biology for undergraduate students, graduate students and professionals.
