Asian Elephants: A Comprehensive Conservation Strategy

Join leading experts at the Smithsonian's National Zoo on Oct. 13 for an in-depth discussion on Asian elephant conservation and welfare efforts. How do we find a balance between human and wildlife needs? If elephants are managed under human care, how can we ensure their well-being? Smithsonian scientists and their partners are working to address these issues, utilizing cutting-edge research, community engagement and outreach.

This daylong event includes two panel discussions, lightning talks, hands-on activities and an evening keynote address by Dr. Josh Plotnick. Breakfast and an evening reception, as well as a catered lunch with the speakers, is included in the ticket price.
