SMBC Director Pete Marra has a new paper out where he examines bird habitat use in Jamaica.
The pictures above show scattered woodlots in an agricultural landscape on the left and a bauxite mining landscape on the right.
The new paper is entitled "Differential matrix use by Neotropical birds based on species traits and landscape condition."
The endemic Jamaican Tody is one species of bird that was studied.
