#CheetahCubdate 3: Cubs in the Grass

This update was written by Amber Dedrick.
three cheetah cubs in the grass

This is just a quick update to let everyone know that Rosalie's five cheetah cubs are doing great, even though we can't watch them on the Cheetah Cub Cam

Rosalie left the cubs when we called her for breakfast. She seemed a bit cautious at first, maybe because I asked her to get on the scale, but she was totally fine when she saw I had a bone to give her (on Fridays, most of the cats get horse neck bones). She worked on the bone while I cleaned out the artificial den and checked on the cubs in the grass.

While it's tough to make out all five cubs in the photos, we did see all five and will continue to keep an eye on them as Rosalie allows!

See #CheetahCubdate 2: A New Den for more information on why Rosalie moved her cubs and how animal care staff will monitor them.
