Biography

Associate Director for Park Operations, Frank Clements oversees the 163-acre National Zoo facility in Washington, D.C.  he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Zoo, which has more than 1.7 million visitors a year, and manages the Zoo's guest services, food services, parking, retail, horticulture, safety and security, sustainability, and integrated pest management.

Clements started at the Zoo as a temporary gardener in 1987.  He eventually became Chief Horticulturist, then Chief of Park Management, until he arrived in his current role running all aspects of park operations.
