Members get the first chance to see Linh Mai at a special viewing event held inside Elephant Community Center, the Zoo's indoor elephant habitat. Meet the herd and take photos, learn about Asian elephant conservation, and try to spot the baby-proofing changes around the yard. Following the visit, members can enjoy exclusive giveaways and family-friendly craft stations at the outdoor Pachyderm Plaza.
Timed-entry tickets are required for all attendees ages 2 and older. Each membership may reserve up to six tickets.
- Guests should arrive in a single group.
- Membership holders are limited to one visit per group/household.
- To allow as many people as possible to participate, visiting times will be limited to 20 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions
No Entry Passes required. Simply present your timed tickets at the gates to gain entry to the Zoo. All members of your party must have a ticket to enter.
Your tickets will be scanned at the Elephant Community Center upon entering for your reserved time.
If you’re planning to park at the Zoo, you should reserve your Parking Pass ahead of your visit. We anticipate high demand for parking during the days of this event and we strongly suggest you reserve parking as early as possible if you plan to drive. Day-of parking passes can be purchased on-site for $40 while space is available. Parking Passes are non-refundable and exchanges are subject to availability.
Member parking benefits may be used for this event. Benefits must be used in advance online, they cannot be redeemed on-site.
Each membership comes with up to six passes for the elephant viewing event.
If you’d like to experience the Baby Elephant Member Viewing with extra guests, consider giving a Gift Membership to bring more friends and family in on the fun! We cannot guarantee the same viewing period if you reserve your passes in more than one session.

We will do our best to respond to exchange requests by phone and email received by Monday, April 13 at 5 p.m. EDT, but we may not get to everyone. We anticipate a high volume of calls and emails leading up to the event. Phones and email are typically monitored Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Passes are not exchangeable after 5 p.m. EDT Monday, April 13. Ticket exchanges subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
You are welcome to arrive at the Zoo and visit other animals as early as you want. But capacity in the Elephant Community Center is limited and you will not be able to enter early. If you arrive early, you are invited to wait at Pachyderm Plaza and enjoy our member-exclusive giveaways and family-friendly craft stations.
Your ticket time helps us spread out arrivals and ensure everyone has a comfortable experience, so we encourage guests to arrive as close to their ticketed time as possible. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals but cannot guarantee entry.
Our animal care staff will make every effort to ensure the calf and other members of the herd are visible in the Elephant Community Center during our member-only viewing times.
But the welfare of the calf and adult elephants is top priority. For the safety of the animals and our staff, we may need to move an elephant off exhibit or close the exhibit without notice.
Due to high demand, membership holders are limited to one visit per household.
