Easter Monday
A Washington Family Tradition
Join us for a wild and egg-citing celebration at the Smithsonian National Zoo's Easter Monday event on April 1! This decades-long tradition is a roaring good time, celebrating families and the vibrant D.C. community.
From 10 a.m. to noon at Great Meadow, dive into adventure with an Easter egg scavenger hunt! This kid and family-focused activity takes you through 15 interactive tables that unveil the wonders of the zoo, introduce you to scientists, and shed light on exciting animal career opportunities. Don't miss the chance to get a special prize at the end of the scavenger hunt!
After the scavenger hunt, be sure to check out the Zoo's special animal enrichment and demonstrations. Or, grab a bite to eat at one of the Zoo’s restaurants. It's a day of fun, discovery, and unforgettable moments at the Smithsonian's National Zoo!
Programming for Easter Monday is organized by the Association of Minority Zoo & Aquarium Professionals (AMZAP). AMZAP is comprised of professionals currently working in the zoo industry focused on minority representation in the zoo field.
