International Cat Day

Sumatran tiger

Have a paw-some time with the cats at the Smithsonian's National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute!

On Saturday, August 9, visitors can prowl to the Great Cats exhibit and celebrate the cats living at the Zoo. Get the inside scoop from animal care staffers about how the Zoo's species of cats spend their daily lives, and learn about conservation programs that are working to save cats in the wild.

Activities include animal enrichment, information tables about cats, and the opportunity to participate in arts, crafts and games that celebrate your favorite felines.
