Biography

Adelyn Hanchette is an outreach and research coordinator at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute's Migratory Bird Center, which is dedicated to understanding, conserving and championing the grand phenomenon of bird migration. Hanchette coordinates communication and outreach efforts with coffee growers, coffee roasters and the public. She promotes the Bird Friendly message through social media and website content, and supports agroforestry research efforts by assisting with literature reviews and data organization, with the overall goal of conserving quality bird habitat.

Hanchette earned her Bachelor of Science in wildlife research and management and her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2018.
