Exportadora Banegas (Joel Esmi Banegas Velasquez)

Located in the fertile valley of Comayagua, Honduras, Exportadora Banegas (Joel Esmi Banegas Velasquez) joined the Bird Friendly program in 2022. 

Female wood thrush, Minnie, sits on a nest behind the scenes. Her nest is made of what looks like whispy straw. There is a plant to the left and reaching above her.

Feathered fact: The Wood Thrush is the official bird of Washington, D.C.. but spends the fall and winter across Central America. They can be found foraging for insects and invertebrates in leaf litter on the forest floor.
