Unión de Cooperativas Héroes y Mártires de Miraflor (UCA Miraflor)
Unión de Cooperativas Héroes y Mártires de Miraflor (UCA Miraflor) is located in the biodiversity-rich and mountainous region of Estelí, Nicaragua. The area was declared a Natural Reserve in 1994 and UCA Miraflor were the first to integrate the Nicaraguan community ecotourism model. They are dedicated to the socioeconomic development of their members, who are made up of 12 grassroot cooperatives and over 400 small producers across 36 communities within the protected area. UCA Miraflor focuses on sustainable agricultural production and the protection of the environment.
