Description

ZooLights amps up the romance for couples during Date Night, featuring an exclusive date night giveaway and holiday carolers at the Great Meadow. Couples also enjoy champagne cocktails, hot toddies, and sweet treats, along with a spin on the carousel and snow-less tubing.

Volunteers are needed to help check in guests at registration, serve as bartenders, and serve treats, soda and water. Volunteer roles are pre-assigned and instructions are sent closer to the event date. If you have a preference, you may request a particular role and staff will do their best to accommodate you.

Date: Thursday, Dec. 8 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Application Requirements

Volunteers are expected to check in by 4:30 p.m. in order to pick up dinner and get to their assigned location in time for the start of the event. Please note, volunteers are not allowed to drink alcohol while on Zoo grounds.

Dinner: Boxed meals will be provided for volunteers to take to their assigned area. A vegetarian option is available, but Zoo staff will not be able to accommodate other dietary restrictions, so please plan accordingly.

Training

Staff will provide on the job training.

Special qualifications

The event is open to guests from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Volunteers must check in and be at their assigned location by 4:30 p.m. and are expected to stay through the conclusion of the event, and help with cleaning up their station. Volunteers should be comfortable with being outside, and with a hilly, lengthy walk to their assigned station.
