Description

Volunteers are needed to help at the Zoo's Easter Egg Hunt for Easter Monday: A Washington Family Tradition on Monday, April 2, 2018.

The Egg Hunt is one of the most popular parts of Easter Monday. Tasks involve greeting guests, placing eggs at the hunt scene, helping children hunt for eggs and distributing prizes.

Shifts are in the morning from 9:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. and in the afternoon from 11:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. You may sign up for one or both shifts.

Application Requirements

NOTE: If we are lucky enough to have good weather, there will be large crowds and afternoon volunteers will not be able to find parking in Zoo lots or the surrounding neighborhoods. If you will be driving, please sign up for a morning shift only. If you will walk, bike or metro to the Zoo, please sign up for either shift.

Training

Staff will be on hand to provide on-the-job training.

Special qualifications

Volunteers need to be friendly, welcoming and comfortable assisting children and families as they hunt for eggs. Please note: eggs are hidden in hay. If you have an allergy to hay, we would recommend you do not volunteer for this opportunity.
