Solstice Saturday at the Zoo

On June 23 the Smithsonian will mark the first Saturday of summer—Solstice Saturday—by staying open late and hosting parties, programs, and performances. In celebration, the Zoo will have extended hours!

Solstice Saturday is held in association with By the People, an international arts and dialogue festival taking place across Washington, D.C. The Smithsonian's Arts and Industries Building will be the central location for the festival, which runs June 21–24, with art installations, programs, and performances.
