We Still Need Your Help!
Whether it’s pandas or porcupines, at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute, we save species. Along with our sister organization, Friends of the National Zoo, we welcome over a million guests each year to our free zoo in D.C., providing engaging animal experiences and valuable tools so visitors can join the fight to save species and their homes in the wild.
We are so excited to welcome you back to the Zoo, and we are working diligently to make sure that all our guests will enjoy a fun, safe visit through measures such as social distancing. To be as safe as possible, we are limiting the number of people that can visit each day. This leads to a safer, more comfortable Zoo visit—but it also means we will still need outside help to raise the funds on which we rely.
