Blake Klocke is a graduate student researcher at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute’s Center for Conservation Genomics. Currently, he is screening salamanders in the U.S. for emerging infectious diseases and working on release trials of endangered captive bred frogs in Panama. Klocke’s interests are in mitigating amphibian declines caused by chytrid fungus.
Klocke earned his bachelor's degree in field biology from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls in 2014, and is currently working on his Ph.D. at the Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation.
