Bird Friendly® organic, shade-grown coffee supports bird conservation, a healthy environment and the livelihood of small-scale farm owners.

There are many benefits to becoming a certified Bird Friendly farm, including:

  • Price premiums for producers, in addition to those gained through organic and often Fair Trade certification
  • A key role in local and global conservation work
  • Access to gourmet markets for all producers, irrespective of farm size
  • Climate change mitigation and extreme weather protection for crops through shade trees
  • Protection of soil and water resources from the agroforestry environment
  • Pollution control at mills, both wet and dry
